11:11

Some of you will see the title of this post and immediately know where I am going. Others will read it and pass by, not knowing or understanding the connection that some of us have with numbers.

I once heard when I was a child, that you can make a wish on repeating numbers on the clock…so 2:22, 3:33 and so on. I rarely ever catch any of the repeating times, but I ALWAYS catch the time at 11:11. I am not sure if it is because I was born on the 11th day of May and so I am predisposed to notice the number (because after all, it is my favorite), but I always happen to look at the time precisely at 11:11.

And so, each day, I make a wish when I see it. Sometimes, the wish comes true, most times the wish doesn’t. I’ve learned over the years to make simple wishes, vague wishes, so that more often than not I can convince myself that they have come to fruition.

I began wondering what it all MEANS though. After doing some light-hearted research, I learned that the numbers signify that you are on the right path, whether it be physically or emotionally speaking. When you see the numbers pop up, you are supposed to pay close attention to your current thoughts because those are the answers you have been looking for.

A friend of mine had the outlook of my repeating ones as “ones” being infinite, and that that is what life is all about- being infinite. The game is to keep it going. There are no winners or losers. Isn’t life much more enjoyable when you are keeping it all going? Your relationships, your activities, your dreams? Not to say that change isn’t necessary, but “infinite” seems much more fun (and safe) in my opinion.

Some things I feel deep inside my gut, more than just that “women’s intuition”. Those 11’s on my clock are correct, I am on the right path.

More meaning’s behind the sequence’s of 1 – by Joanne Sacred Scribes

We read to learn, to feel, to laugh, to understand others. We write to teach, express, communicate, to inspire others. I created Invisible Ink as an outlet of sorts, an area where I can organize the chaos; a place where hopefully I can be true to myself, and my readers. Writing is personal, it takes a brave and dedicated soul to formulate a piece and then share it with the world. That being said, I get just as much out of reading other's work as I do sharing mine ( I am always open to manuscript review swaps, just send me a message). Words read off a page evoke emotions. When taken out of context, or through an out of focus lens - anyone can mold the words, shifting their meaning to fit their agenda or distorted outlook. Staying true to form and myself, I won't censor my content, but I will censor my audience. Whatever lens you happen to be reading this through - I hope you enjoy!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
